Conclusion

Its been a good year for me, new friend, friendship and knowledge about my course. What I get last year I never forget- new experience, skills. Probably I could do more, but having a family its a little more difficult, less time to learn or read a books. This year definitely I will more focus to practise and read, searching about new ideas for my course if is necessary. I am looking forward this year :-)

Experience over the summer

Well, its nothing to show off, during my summer as was working as a beautician, being a mother and wife I had double it a roles. Definitely the questions is - I am studying, because to get a higher eduction, do not throw me a whirl a sacrifice and focus only on my course  like other girls, I do like what I study, maybe sometimes I too much scare.. I don't know how to describes more what I am feeling...

Critical analyse

What gave me the First year, that is critical thinking about our work, When I wrote a blog, our teacher told us, be critical to your work-evaluation, well I took this as a part of developing program ourself's, I mean this is what I did but I think I can do more and a lot better, only practising make us master of work. From a point of view now, I think this is good idea to criticise my work, because is pushing me to do better, for instance- written better in English :-)

My reflection

From the beginning - I remember my freshers week, I was very stressful and pleasant experience in the same time, new face, doesn't matter if you are eighteen or thirty you can always feel like a teenager when you came back in Uni. The most stressful thing was a language barrier between young and older students, backgrounds and things I couldn't understand what people saying to me- makes me feel like a stupid. On the second hand, teachers were absolutely amazing, very helpful, smiling ale the time, you could see heart onto their work. What surprise me, only 16 hours in full time study, not much but I can say a lot of work.
My first term was about Elizabeth I, from historical genesis, up too her style, make-up, hair, lovely experience a many new skills practising during three months.I love everything  about hair- how to do a rats hair for instance- never did before. In make -up how make a pale skin, how to cover eyebrows using a glue or soap and many others thinks. Less pleasant experience we had with digital Image Production, we've been treat it like a dump- everyone was confused and stressed.

Second term give us enjoyable experience  about 19th Century Victorian era, which I absolutely enjoyed. I love everything from the genesis up too style, make-up and hair. This term was more difficult then previous, more reading, more rehearsal new skills, especially about in make-up special effects. But with any difficulties we had a helpful teachers. Digital Image Production with new teacher Emma was absolutely wonderful, I really appreciate help with any small problems, and encouragement spreading around class. New hair and make-up skills, a lot of new experience, and one more thing genesis about Victorian era and beautiful movie ,,Great Expectation"- I just love it.

Introduction

I am a second year of Make-up & Hair Design student at Southampton Solent University. This blog is about my reflection, my experience collected during a first year at Uni, especially about rehearsal my new skills as a make-up artist and stylist. In few words I will try explain you, how I feel, after my first year of study.
